Our Priorities

Our priorities as a church are: Discipleship, Worship, Fellowship, Ministry, and Outreach.

How will we accomplish this mission? These priorities are based on the Greatest Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) given by Jesus.

  1. DISCIPLESHIP — being with Jesus learning to be like Jesus to do the ministry of Jesus (EQUIP)

We will provide high-quality training opportunities so that people can develop into mature followers of Christ in order to reflect the character of Jesus and do the ministry of Jesus.

  2. WORSHIP — giving God His due praise through song, speech, and action (EXALT)

We will provide balanced opportunities to personally encounter God in powerful ways that result in our giving God an authentic "sacrifice of thanks and praise."

  3. FELLOWSHIP — purposefully building relationships within the community of the church (ENGAGE)

We will provide safe and enjoyable opportunities for people to build healthy relationships with other members of the family of God.

  4. MINISTRY — giving and receiving God’s compassionate, healing touch (EXPRESS)

We will provide practical opportunities for people to receive healing in order to live the Christian life authentically and to minister empathetically to others according to their unique gifts and personality.

  5. OUTREACH — partnering with God as He reaches out to all people in all places (EXPAND)

We will provide consistent opportunities for people to serve Knox County in practical ways and reach out to those people who are currently unconnected to a church family. We will provide regular opportunities for people to participate in national and international missions including church planting and short-term mission trips.
