Our Extravagant Gift

Sermon Audio from Sunday, October 16, 2005 — We've spent the last several weeks hearing what it means to live the poured out Christian life. We've seen that God is so generous that he has poured out his grace on us in Jesus Christ, the greatest gift of all, and God has poured out his spirit in us to give us the power to live the Christian life. And last week we turned the table and asked, what is our appropriate response to God's extravagant grace? What do we pour out in response? First and foremost, we pour out our thanks to him, our worship. We talked about true, poured out worship last week. This week, we continue the same question, what do we pour out in response after worship? The answer is simply, everything else. More succinctly, we pour out our resources - our time, our talent, our treasure. As God pours in, we pour out to his church and to his work in the world.
