Sermon Audio from Sunday, January 15, 2006 — I love the camaraderie that results from fighting side-by-side, the bonds that develop from a well-fought battle. Bonds that are forged in the heat of battle are oftentimes life-long. The members of the Texas Western basketball team, the first team with an all-black starting lineup to win the NCAA tournament whose story is told in the movie "Glory Road", continue to share that bond today that they forged 40 years ago fighting side-by-side through a difficult mission. They experienced true fellowship. Fellowship is not just making friends, as enjoyable as that is. Fellowship is building bonds between Christians in order to fight with one another and fight for one another. It is vital that we take this journey side-by-side and back-to-back for we will fail if we try to go it alone. Together is better.
