Hello workers of the Vineyard,
We have decided to cancel the workdays that were scheduled during Memorial Day Weekend. Many people are gone on vacation, and those of us that are not could use the break. Enjoy a long weekend, and may God use you wherever you are.
Thank you for all that you do.

The follow is the e-mailed Project Renovation Prayer Request as submitted by Paul Helser. The reason I am posting these e-mails is so that if you do not attend VCKC, in person, you will be able to pray along with us in this endeavor. So, I implore you to pray that God may direct us, that He will bless us with safety, and most of all that we maybe a witness for Him in the Mount Vernon community.
Thank you so much for being willing to bring this building project before God. I know that prayer can and will make a huge impact on the project, but most importantly on the people.
I will try to send out prayer requests on a regular basis, specifically when there are challenges that we can see coming. Please also ask God how He would have you pray for the building. There are things that God will tell you about the building, the people, and the process that we (as leaders) may not be hearing from Him. Please feel the freedom to share any scriptures, images, visions, dreams, etc. that you feel might be from God.
Specific areas of Prayer:
That we (leadership and the congregation) would allow this to happen in God’s timing, not ours. For some folk, that may mean working more (speeding up), for others that may mean relaxing amidst the process (slowing down).
That God would use this project to bring us into closer relationship with other Vineyard Churches in our area. We have invited them to come and help out on the building.
That God would continue to flesh out the ministry visions that we have for this building. This project is not about completing the physical structure, which is located at 806 Harcourt Road. This project is about mobilizing, empowering, and equipping a body of believers to change Knox County for God’s glory. It just so happens that we need a space to do it from. Please pray that God will continue to bring people with visions for ministry as well as bring vision to the people of VCKC for ministry in our community.
Thank you for praying. God is happy with our devotion.

Two Kenyon College students (left: Ashley right: Teresa) help hanging drywall. On a personal note, it has been great to see students from both Kenyon College and The Mount Vernon Nazarene University help in the Project Renovation as well as seeing them in Church Worship. The college students take up the first two rows and when they are not there-on vacation-they are truly missed.
